Where is Osama hiding?

Al-Qaida chief Osama bin Laden, his deputy Ayman al-Zawahri and Taliban leader Mulla Mohammad Omar are more likely to be in Pakistan than Afghanistan, the Afghan defence minister said.


On Friday, Afghan president Hamid Karzai had said he had no idea where Osama was, but he was not in Afghanistan. Defence minister Abdul Rahim Wardak told reporters that he thought Osama, al-Zawahri and Omar were "continuously on the run". Pakistan said it has no information on the whereabouts of the Al-Qaida chief and his deputy, but said they could be hiding in neighboring Afghanistan, a report said. "They could be anywhere in the world, including Afghanistan,"the Associated Press of Pakistan news agency reported late on Saturday, quoting foreign ministry spokesman Jalil Abbas Jilani. In recent days, officials from Afghanistan and Pakistan - both close US allies in the war against terrorism _ appeared to be countering each other’s statements about where bin Laden might be hiding.
